It's me! I'm Stacie, the creative

GET SMART, BABY!
heart and mind behind
GET SMART, BABY!
I am a passionate educator devoted to helping families understand their birth options.
- I give you all the evidence you need, and you pick and choose what is right for your situation
- I don't use fear or anecdotes to try and sway you one way or the other
- I believe you know what is best for you, your baby, and your life
GET SMART, BABY! is appropriate whether you are birthing in a forest surrounded by baby deer and a midwife, or you are having a planned cesarean birth in the hospital -- and everything in between. I fully trust your choices -- it is your birth, after all!
When I am not teaching, helping with breastfeeding, or supporting families during birth, here's what's on my list:
- Rock Band: Scoring Double Awesomes on Expert as lead singer, while my kids play the drums and the guitar
- Family: We love camping, glamping, Disneyland, video games, Marvel, Studio Ghibli, and Exploding Kittens
- Animals: 2 rescued dogs and 1 rescued cat (who thinks she's a dog) keep me laughing and happy
- Communication: I aim to use words with clarity and kindness, to help people feel heard and defuse difficult situations. It is a goal of mine to always be building my communication skills, and it carries over into every aspect of my life.
